Cheap Reverse Cell Phone Number Lookup 101

By Davion W

Websites offering cheap reverse cell phone number lookup services are getting more and more popular these days. This is because a significant number of people today are already discovering the benefits of being able to track down unknown callers.

Cell phones are a common device and accessory that many people own today. As such, this also means that the number of prank calls is on the rise. This can be rather irritating to anyone. This explains why prank call victims are turning to phone lookup services for help.

Let us try to understand what a phone lookup or search is. Basically, it is a check you can do using a database of information that reveals details like people names, addresses, locations, occupation and so on. Such a search can often bring you directly to the owner of the cell phone number. So if you want to know who is behind that call, all you need is a phone lookup service and the mystery is unravelled.

Question now is whether there are cheap reverse cell phone number lookup services? There are in fact a number of them. You can always try finding cheap reverse cell phone number lookup directories on the search engines. There are both free and paid services with some charging a low fee.

While they claim to be free, the truth is they only can trace landline numbers. If it is a cell phone number, there is no way you will find any meaningful information. Also, very often, these free sites will still charge you a small fee just to reveal the name and address of the cell phone number owner. We have tested these sites and a lot of information is outdated.

In selecting a cheap reverse cell phone number site, pay attention to 2 important factors. One is the need for a large database. The other factor is the ease of use.

The size of database needs to be huge. A large database means that your success rate is much higher. You can expect those paid services to offer unlimited searches and carry huge databases of information. Amongst these paid services, there are cheap phone lookup services that carry comprehensive listings of cell phone numbers. At the same time, they can normally allow you to track down unlisted landline and pager numbers as well.

Be sure to use a service that is easy to use. If it takes forever to find the search function, then please move on to another service. The search boxes should be placed prominently on the reverse phone lookup sites. All you ever need to do is to input the unknown phone number. In a matter of seconds, you will see the results. Services with a good and professional customer support team are a plus point.

After learning all these things, you are now ready to try your luck with the service. Be sure to enter the proper keywords when searching a cheap reverse cell phone number lookup site. If you are in a hurry, start your search now at the recommended site below.

Broadband : An Introduction to Broadband Phones

By Ray Lam

Broadband phones are becoming more mainstream. There are articles whether broadband phone service reached a tipping point or not. What is clear, though, is that phone service delivered over the public internet is the future of telecommunications.

A DSL broadband connection operates through your telephone line by using a special broadband modem. The cable version operates through your cable television connection. Whichever method you chose, a broadband internet phone connection is now relatively cheap and easy.

All of this happens in a fraction of a second but many issues can arise to degrade the broadband phone service quality. A slow connection, bad phone, over-utilized bandwidth and a bad service provider can all degrade the quality of the phone call.

While broadband phone service uses VoIP not all VoIP is using broadband phone service, at least in the traditional sense. Companies with multiple office can communicate using VoIP over direct connections or over the public Internet. Even though between the remote offices they are communicating over VoIP when a call is made outside the company they can still use regular phone service (PSTN or T-1 service). This allows them to take advantage of Voice Over IP without the detriments of broadband phone service.

No more headphones, microphones, messengers, software or even having your computer turned on to make cheap calls over the Internet! With a broadband phone service plan you can just pick up your telephone to make and receive telephone calls the same way you always have. You'll also be able to take advantage of features like caller ID, voice mail, speed dialing, auto call back, plus advanced features your traditional phone company didn't offer, like having voice mail sent to your e-mail or cell phone, or virtual phone numbers, even pick your area code so friends and family don't get a long distance charge for calling you.

Not techie? You don't have to be. Most broadband phone companies will send you a broadband phone adapter or DTA that you can install yourself in about five minutes or less. They even have online diagrams for those who want a visual interpretation, not to mention tech support. Just a few snaps of a couple wires, and sometimes a quick phone call and you're on your way to money saving bliss. Still not convinced? Then just give that computer geek you know a call to help you set it up. Once you see it done, it's so easy you'll never forget.

Broadband Routers : An Essential Guide to Broadband Routers

By Kevin Spelling

Broadband router is a computer based device which is mainly used for setting up a network. The network can be either wired or a wireless network. These broadband routers are used to ensure that all the systems in a network can transmit data with each other across the broadband Internet. As the features of broadband devices are similar, you can use them for both wired and wireless networks with its support.

The main need for these types of devices is while transmitting data. These devices have the stuff to transmit data between the distinct networks as data packets. Information is mostly transmitted from one system to other as packets of data. The basic requirement of this type of transmission is that two networks are needed to connect a router. A broadband router has to be used to connect those networks to transmit data between each other. These routers are performed as a gateway for those networks.

After connecting the two networks with each other by using broadband routers, now the computer users can share the Internet access easily. The data will be directed along with the computer on local network through the Internet. Data can be exchanged even to computers which are kept at a distant. The added advantage of these broadband routers is to find out the virus attacks.

The presence of a router becomes essential in a network to find out hacking threats and virus attacks. Broadband routers can be used as a filter. Most of the broadband modems are not featured with in-built security features. Therefore if you use a network without router, it may welcome on-line hackers. You can get routers with built-in firewall features. It will be useful for you to have a safe and secure wired or wire-free network.

If broadband is classified into two types in major then the routers also has to be of two types. ADSL modem routers for ADSL broadband users and cable routers for cable broadband users are that two. Both type of broadband router perform the same function of being an interface between your network and the internet and enabling you to share your internet connection among other computers. The main dissimilarity between these two broadband routers is the way in which they connect to the internet.

Cable broadband users connect to the internet via cable modem that is plugged into the cable socket. Cable routers work by plugging it into the provided cable modem's in-built networking port. This is also known as Ethernet port or RJ-45 connection and you need this to share your cable internet with in your network. Once connected to the modem, which in turn is connected to the cable socket, the cable router shares the broadband internet with all the computers in your network.

How to format DVD movies for your Ipod on a Windows PC

By David B Smith

Far and wide people have found that they can get their DVD movies onto their new video iPod for free. How do they do that? It's straightforward actually. Truthfully, if you have ripped a movie onto the PSP before, you in all probability already know how to get your DVDs loaded into your iPod. The transfer procedure is not very different at all, and all you require is some good DVD-to-iPod-Video converter software.

In our opening example we'll use Cucusoft's iPod Video Converter + DVD to iPod Converter suite. The Cucusoft package is a fantastic video format converter, and has the following features:

* Rip DVD to iPod video right (no need to convert DVD to AVI or VOB first)

* Convert AVI, WMV, MPEG, RM, RMVB, ASF, MOV, DIVX, XVID, MPG to iPod MP4 or H264 format

* Easy-to-use and fast conversion

* Can also rip DVD to AVI, DivX, VCD, SVCD, and MPEG

Here's the process, step by step:

1. Download the iPod Video Converter + DVD to iPod Converter suite

Visit GoRipper.com to get the program file for the software suite. Once there, go to the Downloads section and abide by the download instructions on the page that appears. Keep the window open as the file downloads. Afterwards, install and run.

2. Load your DVD

Cucusoft's iPod Video Converter Suite has a well-ordered, blue user interface that is intuitive and easy to use. There should be a series of three buttons to the right of the interface that says:

* 'Video to iPod'

*'DVD to iPod', and

* 'Quit' (for quitting the program).

Click 'DVD to iPod' converter factor before loading your DVD.

To load your DVD, then click the 'Open DVD' button or choose 'Open DVD' from the 'File' drop down menu.

After loading, some titles will materialize on the list.

Here's a prompt: If you want to rip chapters or segments you like, you can also choose 'Open VOB or Mpeg' or 'Open' from the 'File' menu.

3. Choose your Files.

The main file of the video should be the lengthiest heading. If you don't want to convert the other titles (usually the special features in your DVD), you can remove them by selecting that particular label, right-clicking and 'Remove'.

4. Save your Video Files

At the lowermost portion of the list of chapter titles, you will see quite a lot of additional options. Look for the one that says 'Subtitle' beside a drop down menu box. Click on the arrow down radio button to set the 'Subtitle' to what you like. To 'Output Folder', type in the full path name or opt for the path where you want to save your video files by clicking 'Output Folder'.

5. Convert to Video iPod format

To start copying DVD to iPod video files, just click on the huge circular 'Convert' button at the bottom right side of the user interface. You do not need to set 'Input settings' and 'Output settings'.

Naturally, the Cucusoft way is merely one way of doing it. If you find that converting DVDs to iPod using Cucusoft's suite is too drawn out, check out the alternatives. There are several video-conversion suites available and the catalog is growing.

If you're mechanically competent, there is certainly software available that gives you more options over the conversion process than the Cucusoft suite, but if you feel you have got better things to do than study video codecs and bitrates, the straightforwardness of the Cucusoft solution renders it very appealing.

DVD and VHS - Both available at the Disney Movie Club

By Sume Diang

For all the boasting in the home theater world about the superiority of DVD versus VHS, it really amounts to personal preference. Certainly, you do not want to take all the VHS tapes off your shelves and dispose of them like yesterday's 8-tracks. The quality of VHS tapes is proven. There is no convincing logic for abandoning VHS for DVD. Some film clubs, like the Disney Movie Club, continue to offer both DVDs and VHS tapes.

There are boasts that the DVD picture has finer vertical resolution, but that is only true if your television has the ability to maximize on it. If your older television contains a lower standard for vertical resolution, all the higher resolution in the world is useless. In a "blind" test standing VHS and DVD pictures against one another, 63% of the subjects could find no difference, and 16% actually thought the VHS picture superior. Many think the analog sound quality of VHS to be warmer than that of its compressed digital competition. Some have no quarrel with DVD sound.

The question of longevity gets a lot of attention, too. Certainly, there are many individual copies of 101 Dalmatians out there that have been played time and time again without showing any damage. DVDs, however, with the large amount of info stored on them in comparison to a music CD, can be ruined by the littlest scratch.

When it comes to simplicity, the DVD may be a winner, depending on how much you are prone to jump from scene to scene. On the other hand, it is easy to turn on a VHS and let it play. With a DVD, it can be annoying finding the right place. Scene selection, however, is a great advantage of DVD. Anyone who has ever tried to find a specific scene in a VHS movie can attest to the frustration. If price is a factor, VHS tapes are generally a few dollars lower in price than DVD's of the same movie.

To sum up, if you are content with VHS, there is no reason to change over to DVD. That is why the Disney Movie Club offers both options to its members. You can get all their blockbusters and new releases in the format you like best.

Introducing The Video Ipod

By David B Smith

Once upon a time, if you wanted to make sure you watched your favourite TV serial, you'd have to schedule your time around the television guide. In this day and age you can watch your most loved movie or serial episodes on your Ipod anywhere and anytime!

Ipods with the storage capacity of 30GB and 80GB can store about 20,000 songs, 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video or any combination of each. You can either convert your DVD (though you'll want to check if this is legal) into an Ipod-compatible format or you can browse for your chosen movie and download it from the iTunes stores and sync it to the Ipod. Your favourite movie or TV show can now be watched directly in your Ipod.

Ipod can play only H.264/MPEG-4 encoded videos with AAC audio tracks with certain limits to the resolution and bit rate of the video files. As specified in the Ipod's tech description the video should be either:

H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320x240 resolution, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480x480 resolution, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats.

H.264 is usually considered a better video format because it offers great quality and smaller file size when compared to MPEG-4. Conversely it may take a more protracted time for H.264 video to encode than the standard MPEG-4. That is, H.264 will take longer time to convert a two hour movie to ipod video.

If you wish to watch movies on your TV screen then with a particular video cable, you can screen your Ipod videos to the TV out of the Ipod's headphone jack. In this instance one should choose MPEG-4 format as it gives higher resolution than the H.264.

There are scores of excellent Ipod compatible DVDs that are both free and legally available. lots of types of software are obtainable on the market which can be used to convert any cd or dvd into Ipod video, and some of these are available as complimentary downloads.

No matter where you are, if you feel like some entertainment, all you need to do is to switch on your Ipod. If you're feeling unhappy, you can listen to your preferred compilation of songs that can soothe you. If you missed your television show last week, you can view it right on your Ipod. If you are feeling rather homesick, you can take a look at your family through the photographs that are stored in your Ipod.

There is a great deal about modern-day living that is puzzling and onerous, but an application like the video ipod does remind us of the significance of modern gadgetry. Now you can carry an entire theatre is in your pocket!
