One day, at the lunch table, Stanley tells the rest of the boys what he did to earn his place at the camp. He explains a pair of sneakers had fallen from the sky, into his arms, and he was caught with them. The sneakers belonged to a famous ball player, named Clyde "Sweet Feet" Livingston, who had donated them to an orphanage. Then, surprisingly, Zero asks him if they were white with red stripes. They make a deal, wherein Hector agrees to dig the holes if Stanley will teach him how to read. This arrangement does not sit well with the other boys and they report this to the doctor on staff. Hector ends up hitting the doctor with the shovel and runs off into the desert. Fearing for his friend, Stanley devises a plan to get away and find him. Twist and turns abound as you find that these two boys' families are entangled for several generations.

Indeed, if you enjoyed the film, you will lose yourself in the book. Details and developments abound, more than the film had time for. HOLES, the book, written by Louis Sachar, has been bestowed with a number of notable awards, among them: the Newberry Award, the National Book Award for Young People's Literature, and the Missouri Mark Twain Award.

It is no wonder the book was so deserving. Though considered a piece of light fiction, it touched upon some very serious issues, including child mistreatment at the camp and even racism. Most of the topics made it into the film as the author also wrote the screenplay. The biggest difference between the two versions is Stanley's character. In the book, he was overweight and many of the issues in the book stem from his lack of self-esteem because of his weight.

The merger of fantasy and reality in the film is intriguing.

The action centers around ten year old Max. A dreamer who is often bullied at school, he creates his own friends from his infinite imagination. Shark Boy and Lava Girl are super heroes from Planet Drool who come exploding into Max's school room one day looking for his help in saving their planet from encroaching darkness. As their world was built in Max's vigorous imagination, the super heroes inform him that he is the only one who can save it.

Their adventures together are truly wild by any stretch of the imagination. The lines between fantasy and reality blur as the evil doers on Planet Drool are often real life foes of Max changed into strange antagonists. For instance, his actual Earth teacher, Mr. Electricidad, becomes the menacing Mr. Electric, whose nasty animated power cords threaten the heroes. By the end of the movie, the action has returned to Earth.

The otherworldly quality of Planet Drool sounds like the game Candy Land marries Willie Wonka's chocolate factory. The characters ride in a banana-split boat on the "Stream of Consciousness", take the out of control Train of Thought to the Land of Milk and Cookies, and get a Crystal Heart from an Ice Princess in the Land of Ice. Perhaps not surprisingly, the screenwriter, Robert Rodriguez, got some help with the plot from his children. One, seven-year-old Racer, was actually given screen credit!

While the film may not have as much of an attraction for grown-ups as it does for children, it is still an engaging story. The story of a victim triumphing over a bully is always a favorite plot with children.

People are fond of referencing Cinderella, gleefully joking about the magical midnight alteration of the star character from an enchanted princess into her old self. The 1950 Disney full length cartoon was nominated for three Academy Awards and has remained a classic for nearly sixty years.

Little girls of today join their mothers and grandmothers before them in dressing up like the much admired blond princess. In 2002 the magic continued with the DVD Cinderella II: Dreams Come True. More accurately described as a series of three stories, these tales are narrated by the mice.

Finally, in 2007 a more direct sequel to Cinderella was released. Picking up where the original movie left off, Cinderella iii: A Twist in Time asks a question that will engage anyone familiar with the first Cinderella-"What if the slipper didn't fit?" In this truly twisting sequel, the evil stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, are suffering payback, forced to do all of Cinderella's former chores. Anastasia slips off to the woods where she stumbles upon the Fairy Godmother preparing a secret picnic to celebrate the first wedding anniversary of Cinderella and her prince.

As luck would have it, Anastasia contrives to snatch the dropped magic wand and return home with it. Her mother, Lady Tremaine, immediately dreams up all sorts of wicked possibilities once she is convinced of the wand's amazing power. Her first deed is to turn back the clock to the moment the glass slipper enters their home. She places a spell on it so that it fits Anastasia instead of Cinderella. From that point on, the movie is a scampering romp fueled by treachery, changing identities, and intrigue. Every time you think Cinderella is going to triumph, Lady Tremaine foils her.

In the end, it is Anastasia, poised on the verge of taking her wedding vows, who is motivated to do the right thing. Cinderella is once again with her prince and Anastasia is rewarded with a home in the palace-and a true love of her own. With all the charm and drama of the original, this wonderful sequel will find a place in the heart of every Cinderella fan.

Getting Freeware - Now, the next thing you need is a freeware and this can also be downloaded for free online. This software can convert FLV files to MPEG4 and it can also convert many other types of formats. All you have to do is configure all the settings so that the output of the video will be MPEG4. Select the flash video that you downloaded from YouTube and drag it into the empty space in the software. Click the Encode button and just wait for the file to be converted.

Sync It - Now, once you have the video converted, all you have to do is sync your Zune with your PC. Make sure that the new MPEG4 is in the folder where the Zune checks for videos. This is one of the best ways to get videos that you want from YouTube and if you can find videos from other sites in the FLV format and download them, you can go through the same conversion process to make them playable on your Zune. Oliver & Company - The First Disney Movie With Attitude!

Oliver & Company was, as its tagline made clear, "the first Disney movie with attitude!" Inspired by Charles Dickens's novel, Oliver Twist, the feature marked a new direction and a new resurgence for Walt Disney Studios. It was arguably the most successful Disney film of the 1980's and would pave the way for the Disney Renaissance of the 1990's, begun by The Little Mermaid. It was so successful that then-Vice President of Animation, Peter Schneier announced the company would release an animated feature annually.

Although the novel brings to light a selection of ghastly social ills and evils, the animated film was conceived as a light-hearted, animal romp, with the plot of the film following the titular Oliver, imagined as a cat, voiced by Joey Lawrence. Oliver is essentially pressed to join a gang of thieving dogs led by the irascible Dodger, voiced by Billy Joel.

The gang does the bidding of Fagin, voiced by Dom DeLuise. While the Fagin of the novel was a twisted caricature, the film portrays him as a reluctant ne'er-do-well with a heart of gold. When the gang botches an attempt to steal a car stereo from an uptown limousine, Oliver ends up in the care of Jenny, voiced by Natalie Gregory. Torn between his newfound owner and his gang of friends, matters come to a head when Sykes, menacingly voiced by Robert Loggia, begins to pressure Fagin to pay his debts.

It is interesting to note that Oliver is never bothered by the petty larceny committed by Dodger and the gang, as doing so would essentially condone the illegal behavior and paint the dogs as criminals. Instead, the film stresses Oliver's desire to join a family and focuses on how the gang fulfills this desire. Oliver & Company was imagined of as a kind of guinea pig in terms of its use of music. Its success would set the template for future Disney movies to incorporate musical numbers. Essentially, all Disney movies since have been musicals. Furthermore, Oliver & Company was the first animated Disney feature to include product placement, including signs spotlighting Coca-Cola, Sony, Ryder Trucks, and USA Today. Disney claims this was done to make the film more realistic, as it is set in New York City, and refutes the claims that it was a deliberate ploy to place products.

Released in 1988, Oliver & Company became the 27th animated feature released by Walt Disney Pictures. It also was one of only five Disney animated films to be set in contemporary times. Originally titled Oliver and the Dodger, the film was the first Disney film to incorporate the use of computer animation. It was successfully re-released in theaters and to VHS home video in 1996 and made its way to DVD in 2002.
