In 2004, Walt Disney released THE INCREDIBLES to tremendous worldwide acclaim. Following the misfortunes of a superhero family forced to live as a "normal" family, this story was penned and directed by SIMPSONS veteran writer Brad Bird.

This film was the sixth Pixar co-production under the Walt Disney banner. Not only did it enjoy tremendous box office success, THE INCREDIBLES launched a massive merchandising campaign that had children and adults scrambling for everything from cups to pajamas to toys to watches. In a relatively short amount of time it has climbed its way to the Disney animated classic designation.

The film starts with a bang as Mr. Incredible, on his way to his wedding, swoops in to save a man falling from a building. In the process of saving him, Mr. Incredible inadvertently damages a passenger train. Following his wedding, he and his superhero cohorts are slapped with lawsuits. It turns out the falling man was trying to commit suicide and feels his rights were infringed and the train passengers filed for millions in damages. Reacting to the public outcry, the government is forced to declare superhero-ism illegal and forces them to live in hiding.

Craig T. Nelson, of COACH fame, voices Mr. Incredible, while Academy award-winner Holly Hunter voices his wife, Elastigirl. They have two children, Dash and Violet, who were born with super powers but are forbidden to use them. Their baby Jack Jack, seems to be a normal child, much to the chagrin of Mr. Incredible. They are all forced to live as "normal" people, working normal lives.

A jealous fan of Mr. Incredible is determined, after being inadvertently snubbed, to create his own superpowers and seek vengeance. He lures unsuspecting superheroes to his island lair in order to test his superhero killing machine. Mr. Incredible who is eager to get back to the life he knew, accepts a mission to the island to investigate. Little does he know he is being lured to his death.

In the meantime, Helen (Elastigirl) does her best to hold down the home front. She is oblivious to the significance of his business trips (she starts to worry he's been unfaithful) until she notices a tear in her husband's old superhero outfit. Furious that he's put the family in jeopardy, she hops a plane to confront him.

As it happens, Dash and Violet stow away on the plane. Before they touch down, however, the plane is attacked and the children find themselves in a life and death situation. Helen has to quickly train them to work together to survive. This brings each character out of their respective shells, enabling them to use their powers. Can they band together in time to save Mr. Incredible? Can they survive long enough to save the planet? This Disney animated classic is a must-have for the entire family.

Monsters, Inc. is the power station fueling the great city of Monsteropolis (think New York circa 1940). Can you recall those dreaded nights you swore something was moving in the closet? Well, little did you know your screams would be juicing up a city of monsters. Had you had the presence of mind to swipe at them, you would have had them running for their lives. Common monster wisdom believes humans are highly toxic. Should they ever touch a human, its off to the quarantine room.

So it happens that one fateful shift, Monster Inc.'s best and brightest, Sulley (voiced by John Goodman), accidentally brings a human child back to Monsteropolis. In a frightful panic, he hides her with the help of his good buddy, Mike (voiced by Billy Crystal). They soon discover humans are not toxic after all -- in fact, making them laugh generates more power than a scream ever could. Sulley and Mike hatch a plan to disguise Boo as a monster to get her back home, but the no-good monster Randall Boggs (voiced by Steve Buscemi) has devised a power extractor that can double the scream-based fuel systems.

Sulley smuggles Boo straight to the CEO of Monsters Inc., where he is roped into teaching the new recruits some basic scare tactics. Seeing his frightening display, Boo blows her cover by bursting into tears. Sulley soon discovers the CEO, working along with Randall, is behind the new scream extractor but not before Boo is taken from him. He and Mike are quickly exiled to the Himalayas, where they begin to search frantically for the portal that will get them back to Monsteropolis in time to save Boo. Can they get back to Boo in time? What will happen to the children of the world if the scream extractor works?

This fluid film was the end-product of the hard work of the digital masters at Pixar. A great example of their meticulous work is Sulley's luxurious fur coat. The programmers rendered over two million individual hairs to give him a completely lifelike look and feel. Pixar invented a proprietary program called RenderMan DSO (Dynamic Shared Object) that effectively distributed the hair on any given character and added depth to the renderings. The end effect is a stunning film that doesn't disappoint.

The Parent Trap

Two plus two equals four and Disney plus families equals great entertainment. From theme parks to resorts to cruises and more, parents can be assured their children are only exposed to quality content and entertainment. Films like THE SHAGGY DOG, FREAKY FRIDAY, and HOMEWARD BOUND all come to mind -- and that's not even touching upon the animated features. The latest in the long line of family-friendly titles is THE PARENT TRAP.

Both the original and the re-make of THE PARENT TRAP were loosely based on the novel by Erik Kastner entitled "Lottie and Lisa." Though the location and some other elements were changed, the essential plot remains the same. The book was actually the basis for many genre movies. The differences between the book and the film are minor, with the film focusing more on the children trying to get the parents back together.

Disney, in 1961, cast Hayley Mills in the starring role, with Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith playing the parents. The separated girls accidentally meet at summer camp and quickly discover the truth about one another. They were twins whose parents divorced at birth and each took one of the twins and never told the girls about the other. The rest of the film follows the girls as they switch places to meet the parent they did not know they had. The girls soon learn that their father is about to marry his gold-digging girlfriend -- a plan they must stop. After a madcap race, and an ill-fated camping trip, it all comes together.

The remake of THE PARENT TRAP remains faithful to the 1961 version, though this latest version has the mother living in London. Furthermore, in this version she is unaware of the twins' plans to sabotage their father's wedding plans. The girls contrive to bring their parents back together by getting them both to the same hotel. Their mother has no idea their father is about to re-marry. They must race against time to get them back together before it's too late.

The twins scheme to switch places while on their annual camping trip, a secret that doesn't get revealed until it's almost too late. When their mother graciously backs out of the trip, the twins set about to make their father's fiance miserable. As in the original version, the girls sabotage their father's fiance in the wild. Sugar-water mosquito repellent anyone? How about a trip down the river whilst taking a nap? Either version of THE PARENT TRAP is sure to please. They will make a hilarious addition to any home Disney movie list. Just remember which one is which!

Episode 12: This episode checked a very popular myth . . . do your toothbrushes really get fecal matter on them when you leave them in the bathroom? The answer might astonish you . . . and have you moving your bathroom as far from the house as possible! Also in the twelfth episode, Jamie and Adam built a machine to find out if they could actually collapse a bridge with soldiers marching in lock step across it, and a team of varsity rowers tested their strength by attempting to tow a waterskiing Jamie behind their 8 person shell.

Episode 20: Can you really die from eating a heated jawbreaker? Urban legend says it could explode in your mouth . . . so of course Adam and Jamie have to take on this challenge. They also check out the truth in the story about a man being electrocuted by sandblasting a plastic pipe and, one of the more popular tests, find out if a playing card really can be deadly when flicked at high speeds on edge. Curious? This is a great episode to watch!

Episode 30: Anything to do with sex tends to be popular and this episode, though it doesn`t actually contain anything risqu, is no exception. If you`ve heard the old story of a civil war soldier being shot through the lower body and the bullet then lodging in the uterus of a young woman who became pregnant, you`ll have an inkling as to what this interesting episode is about! The other myths include whether or not it can be fatal to use a phone in a thunderstorm and the re-enactment of a boat heading out to sea with the vehicle still attached.

Episode 35: Have you heard the one about the human slingshot? Apparently Mexicans were hurtling themselves over the border via giant slingshot, aiming so perfectly that they landed neatly on a mattress placed on the US side of the border. This is definitely a task for the MythBusters cast and they set about to find out if humans really can fly safely through the air.

Episode 67: Fans love a good shootout, something the Busters are famous for and this episode features three different gun related myths to put to rest. These more obscure myths include the supposition that two Civil War bullets that collided in midair fused together and the possibility of killing a sniper by shooting through his gun scope. The guys also investigate and try to disprove the story about a criminal`s bullet jamming the empty chamber in a policeman`s gun. And, as a bonus, we get a chance to find out just how dangerous a hammer really is!

This episode of Myth Busters tests that theory to the max by building a sheet of paper the size of a football field to fold, but that`s not the most exciting part. 6. Have fun photographing a number of different subjects. Be aware of the shape and texture. Keep in mind composition as well as colors in the background.

Lindsay admitted in 2005 that she was a victim of belemia which caused her to lose a lot of weight. Lindsay was just then releasing "Mean Girls," which took her to the next level.

In 2005, the paparazzis caused two car crashed that Lindsay was involved in. The following year, she received a letter stating that she was being unprofessional and showing up to work late. While clubbing in New York, Lindsay broke her wrist and had two fractures.
