A lot of the plaster figures that are used in Disneyland and Walt Disney World were made here. With the need for entire buildings rather than just the bits and pieces of earlier times, the filming industry began to build whole sets in response to the on location filming that was becoming quite popular. Over the last 30 plus years the back lot has housed the sets for many movies including "Darby O'Gill and the Little People," "The Love Bug," "The Apple Dumpling Gang," and "Those Calloways" among many others.
