Poor credit rating mobile phone

By Rick Vincent

If you have a poor credit rating obtaining a mobile phone can be difficult. The major mobile phone networks in the UK will not allow you an agreement.

Here is a plan that details what you can do to get a mobile phone with a decent tariff.

Most people with bad credit will actually end up buying a pay as you go mobile phone and end up paying higher call costs, on top fo having to purchase the phone to get going.

With these deals the networks have to make their money back somehow and this is done through the cost of the calls. Don't be conned by deals that offer more expensive call rates for the first few minutes each day, this can really add up.

Finding a bad credit mobile phone supplier often charge a deposit. This is because you may run up a big bill and not pay. The best company I know is the Utility Warehouse.

The advantages are you will get a phone. They do not perform a credit check and instead ask for 10 payment in advance. The other advantage is that you can take other services with them to make your bill even cheaper. Their gas and electricity is backed by a triple guarantee, and you can slash your home phone bill with free calls.

The disadvantages are a small monthly charge of 1.76 per month to be a member of their discount club, and you will not have the wide choice of phones that are available in most high street stores.

That said, if you need a better deal than pay as you go becuse of a bad credit rating then the Utility Warehouse is your best and often only option for a mobile phone.
