Cell-Phones. A Modern Day Must Have Friend

By Dai1952

There was a time not that many years ago when, for a while, the cell phone just might have failed but it has re-invented itself to become the most important of technological developments in the twentieth century.

It makes you wonder if the bubble will ever burst on this most amazing success story. Even though the number of available functions in today's land based telephones has improved, there is still a long way for it to go to compete with the cell phone.

Manufacturers and Computer Experts have introduced the possibility of giving your phone personality by introducing cellular phone wallpapers.

Now, changing your wallpaper couldn't be easier with web sites set up just for this purpose. Not only can modern phones communicate between each other which makes transferring screen wallpaper a simple process but it can even be created and shared using the cell-phones digital camera. If you prefer you can use an image you have captured previously on your own digital camera but the set up can take a bit more time.

Why not add some text as well, possibly something funny to your cellular phone wallpaper, just to add a little more of your personality. Those people that have older models may not be able to do this but it really shouldn't matter or make you feel as if you are missing out on something. Cell phone ring tones are another way of giving you phone that individual feel so even if your phone cannot change its background, you may find that the ring tone can be changed to make your model more individual.

Not everyone is obsessed with customizing their cell phone though and only require that it performs the tasks it was originally designed for, i.e. making calls. Text messages are a prime example of this because you can send one without anything else being needed. I suppose it is nice to be able to customize with cellular phone wallpapers but wouldn't you prefer one that worked as well and didn't just impress other people?

Try to bear in mind that not everyone is interested in your life and conversations so as a final point try to think of others when you use your phone. Many people will judge you by how you use your cell-phone as it shows what type of person you are.

Turning off your phone when you are in a restaurant or library for example, shows respect for those that are also there. You may even get the respect from other users if you respect them they will not use their phone without thinking in situations that may annoy you. In an age where people think about how they look to others a great deal, it is surprising that this has not improved cell phone etiquette but this means that you can do something to change the situation.
